Skamlingsbanken

If you and your family love nature, Stensager Strand Camping is the perfect place for your holiday. It is less than 2 kilometres to the top of Skamlingsbanken, and the walk goes through a beautiful beech forest along Odderbæk. Skamlingsbanken is a memorial site from, among other things, World War I, where the Danish-German border ran approximately five kilometres south of Skamlingsbanken at Christiansfeld. The surrounding farmers built a stone pillar on the highest hill on Skamlingsbanken so that the Danes who lived in Germany could see “home”. At the stone pillar at the top there is a lovely restaurant with an á la carte menu. You should not miss out on visiting Skamlingsbanken. Address
